Become a Time for Trussell volunteer

Help us build awareness and campaign for change through social media.

Can you create great social media content? Do you want to make a positive impact in the world? Whether you’re a budding influencer or a social media enthusiast – we need your voice!

What is a Time for Trussell volunteer?

Time for Trussell volunteers help raise awareness of the work we do using social media.

By sharing our social media messages, you can help the Trussell Trust campaign for change and build a consensus among the public to ensure that everyone can afford the essentials.

If you have good online communication skills and working knowledge of at least one social media platform, you could help us raise awareness and call for change.

What will you be doing?

You’ll use your existing social media profile to communicate with your friends and followers and talk about the work being done by the Trussell Trust. This could be something as simple as sharing one of our news stories, liking a message from one of your local Trussell Trust food banks, or encouraging your followers to take one of our campaign actions.

We’ll send you regular emails highlighting important messages we’d like you to share and provide you with images, videos and anything else you might need to create your own messages on social media. You can also follow our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts for inspiration and to help you connect with other Trussell Trust supporters.

How will you make a difference?

You’ll use your voice and your online community to help raise awareness of our work, including helping people understand the drivers of poverty and challenging misconceptions around using a food bank. You’ll also encourage others to support our work.

By doing something as simple as sharing our posts and social media content, you’ll ensure our message goes further and is seen by many more people. This will be crucial in helping us to build a consensus to ensure that everyone can afford life’s essentials.

By posting updates and sharing content, you can help us in our mission to see a UK without the need for food banks.
